Casuarina Childcare Centre is a community, not-for-profit early childhood education and care service.
The centre is managed by a committee consisting of parents, community members, staff representatives, and the Director. The Director is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the centre.
The centre is licensed for 55 children and provides education and care programs for children aged 6 months to 5 years, including a preschool program to prepare children for school.
Our program includes three developmental groups:
Babies 6 to 24 months old – Gum Nuts Room
Toddlers 24 to 36 months old – Wattle Room
3 to 4 Years old – Pandanus Room

Nurturing Growth from 0–4 Years
Gum Nuts Room
Ages 6-24 months
Our little Gumnuts are welcomed into a nurturing environment where curiosity blossoms and every day brings new opportunities for discovery. Through play, exploration, and meaningful connections, children are supported to grow, learn, and develop confidence as they begin their lifelong learning journey.
Wattle Room
Ages 24-36 Months
Like young wattles beginning to bloom, children in our Wattle Room are encouraged to grow, explore, and discover. Designed for children aged 24–36 months, our program nurtures confidence, independence, and a love of learning through play, curiosity, and meaningful experiences. Join us as your little one blossoms and thrives every day.
Pandanus Room
Ages 3-4 Years
Like the resilient pandanus that grows strong with deep roots and reaches confidently toward the sky, our Pandanus room for children aged 4 years and above nurtures confident, capable learners ready to flourish. Through play-based learning, children are encouraged to explore, create, and think critically while developing strong foundations in literacy, numeracy, and social skills. In our supportive and engaging environment, every child is empowered to grow, discover, and prepare for a successful transition to school.

Our Program
The centre's philosophy provides a vital framework for making programming decisions. Our program incorporates feedback and observations from parents, educators, communities, and most importantly, the children themselves.
Nutritious Meals
Nutritious meals and snacks are provided daily, with a weekly menu accessible to parents.
We offer four meals a day
Special dietary requirements are catered for; however, we do not provide baby bottles, formula, soy milk, or lactose-free milk products.
Staffing
Skilled and experienced educators form the backbone of our high-quality education and care program at the centre.
All of our educators and staff members are highly experienced and qualified in the field of Early Childhood Education and Care.
Preschool Runs
Casuarina Childcare Centre facilitates drop-off and pick-up for children attending Wagaman Preschool.
Communication
We value strong partnerships with families and offer a variety of communication methods to keep you informed and connected to your child's learning journey. These include face-to-face conversations, telephone and email communication, notices and newsletters, family meetings, and our digital communication platform, Kindy Hub.
